About Study Course

Objective

To create an idea in the field of theory of sport, to be well versed in sports and physical activities and organisation thereof, to develop competences in defining, developing physical characteristics, as well as in teaching movements and determining levels of movement training.

Preliminary Knowledge

General knowledge of Professional Bachelor of Sport Science in the field of general education study courses mastered by the end of 1st year of studies at LASE.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Defines physical characteristics, their manifestations and components. Knows different types of preparation, concepts of technique and tactics, principles of increasing load. Knows the principles and characteristics of formation of movement skills and abilities.

Skills

1.Knows how to explain manifestations of physical characteristics. Knows how to justify the principles of endurance development and the stages of strength development. Knows how to apply the principle of amount and intensity in training planning.

Competences

1.Explains the classification of physical characteristics. Builds the ratio of GPF to SPF in the long term, teaches movement in stages. Uses the principle of short-term adaptation in class or sports lesson planning. Builds exercise progressions using the amount-intensity relationship. Uses different methods to develop physical characteristics.

The homework are evaluated on a scale of points, which are converted into points, the test - on a scale of 10 points, which later forms the overall evaluation of the study course. The overall assessment is not posted if any of the tasks are not completed or the test is evaluated below 4 points.
