About Study Course

Objective

To promote understanding of social entrepreneurship, basic principles, identification criteria and their role in solving socio-economic problems.

Preliminary Knowledge

Bacics of economics, basics of business.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Is able to define what is social entrepreneurship, social enterprise, name the main regulatory enactments that regulate social entrepreneurship. Is able to describe the opportunities, problems and challenges faced by social entrepreneurs.

Skills

1.Is able to develop a business plan of a social enterprise, observing the requirements of regulatory enactments and the basic principles of social entrepreneurship.

Competences

1.Understands the nature of social entrepreneurship and its role in solving socio-economic problems. Can evaluate the business environment in Latvia and the role of the state in promoting social entrepreneurship.

Kumulatīvais gala vērtējums, ko veido 50% patstāvīgo darbu vērtējums un 50% eksāmena vērtējums. Lai students tiktu pielaists pie eksāmena kārtošanas, patstāvīgajiem darbiem ir jābūt ar sekmīgu vērtējumu. Lai saņemtu gala vērtējumu, eksāmena kārtošana ir obligāta. Patstāvīgo darbu vērtējums nesekmīgi nokārtota eksāmena gadījumā gala vērtējumu nepaaugstina.
