About Study Course
Objective
Create an idea of the types of skating, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, hiking and the basics of parkour, learn the basics of cross-country skiing, the basics of alpine skiing techniques, the basics of skating techniques, the technical elements of parkour and the basics of hiking, thus attracting students to various outdoor activities. Provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills and skills in the methodology of cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, skating, parkour and hiking, organisation of outdoor activities in work with students of different ages and genders.
Preliminary Knowledge
In the short cycle programme, students need knowledge of human functioning, which gives students the opportunity to understand the movements to be made, in the physical activities of leisure time. Knowledge of English is required at a sufficient level to read industry literature and guide course terminology in English.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Successful completion of the study course will enable the student to acquire knowledge, about the development of cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, skating, parkour and hiking in Latvia and the world.

2.Successful completion of the study course will enable the student to acquire knowledge of this physical activity - terminology (in sports).

3.Successful completion of the study course will enable the student to acquire knowledge of the role of physical activity in increasing the physical fitness of the person, applying interdisciplinary action with the study course in human functioning in maintaining and restoring health.

Skills
1.The completion of the study course will enable the student to apply the acquired skills on the types of cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, parkour and hiking, practically applying them according to the styles and types of skiing travel, the overhanging element and the types of hiking depending on the distance terrain and exposure to the external environment; use them as a means of active rest and physical fitness in terms of human functioning.

2.The completion of the study course will enable the student to apply the acquired skills regarding the types of cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, skating, parkour and hiking, as a means of active rest and fitness, explaining from the point of view of human functioning.

3.Successful completion of the course allows the student to independently organise specific outdoor activities, as students will be able to characterise the elements of cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, rollercoaster, parkour and types of hiking, applying them to different contingent and to the level of preparedness by integrating the foundations of human functioning.
4.Successful completion of the course allows the student to independently carry out the organisation of specific outdoor activities, as students will be able to independently apply knowledge and skills in cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, skating, planning, organising, managing and evaluating parkour elements and hiking, resulting from human functioning possibilities.

5.Successful completion of the course enables the student to independently organise specific outdoor activities, as students will be able to apply knowledge and skills independently by organising different tasks, games, games, trainees, etc.
6.Successful completion of the course allows the student to independently carry out the organisation of specific outdoor activities, as students will be able to choose materials corresponding to specific activities – technical equipment.

Competences
1.Successful completion of the study course will enable the student to acquire competences by applying them in cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, skating, parkour elements, explaining their necessity and needs to different conditions from the aspect of human functioning.

2.Practical application according to the competences acquired and basic human functioning, distance skiing, alpine skiing, skating, parkour elements and hiking styles and types depending on distance and external exposure at different age stages and levels of preparedness, using as an active recreational tool.
