Knowledge
1.Students explain the risk factors, manifestations and consequences of psychological crisis and mental trauma. Describe the psychological aspects of suicide. Characterise and describe the basic principles of psychological help for people in crisis.
Skills
1.Students analyse the possible risk factors, manifestations and consequences of crisis and mental trauma in given cases. Students evaluate the manifestations of acute and post-traumatic stress disorder based on current classifications of diseases. Students develop a crisis intervention plan, conduct crisis intervention in groups of three.
Competences
1.Using the acquired knowledge about psychological crises and trauma, students analyse cases of psychological crises and trauma, develop a crisis intervention plan, perform a case study crisis intervention in groups of three, explain crisis, PTSD, suicide prevention measures.

|
Characterise and describe the basic principles of psychological help for people in crisis. In small groups, one of the given learning cases is analysed according to the plan.
Requirements /assessment criteria (20%): Students develop a crisis intervention plan, conduct case study crisis intervention in small groups.
1) Purpose of crisis counselling.
2) Conceptualisation of the case.
3) Consultation plan.
4) Justification of the chosen methods.
Requirements /assessment criteria (30%): Conduct a written analysis of the given case according to the criteria and present it on the theoretical basis.
1) Conceptualisation of the case.
2) Demonstration of crisis intervention methods.
3) Plan of further consultations, recommendations.
4) Self-reflection.
Requirements /assessment criteria (50%): Independently read the indicated sources and literature, producing summaries according to the given sample. Analyse case studies. Requirements: Submit written study case protocols and their analysis.
