About Study Course

Objective

To provide students with in-depth knowledge of the fundamentals of pediatric allergology and pulmonology, with particular emphasis on the etiology, differential diagnosis and management of chronic cough, as well as the most common allergic and respiratory diseases in childhood, fostering clinical reasoning and evidence-based decision-making in pediatric practice.

Preliminary Knowledge

Basic knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and immunology, as well as an introductory course in pediatrics.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students understand the fundamental principles of pediatric allergology and pulmonology, the pathophysiology of chronic cough, and the most common allergic and non-allergic causes of respiratory diseases in children.

Skills

1.Students are able to analyze clinical cases of chronic cough, perform differential diagnosis, interpret allergological and functional diagnostic tests, and justify management strategies.

Competences

1.Students are able to independently apply acquired knowledge and skills in pediatric allergology and pulmonology, collaborate effectively with patients and their families, and contribute to disease prevention and patient education.
