Objective

Knowledge
1.Understanding of the biopsychosocial and biopsychopathological model of vulnerability in medicine, knowledge of aetiopathogenesis, diagnosis, differential diagnosis of psychosomatic disorders; an idea of mental health criteria, knowledge of functional and dysfunctional or psychosomatic families and factors contributing to somatization therein; - about the mechanisms and nature of the “doctor is the best medicine” phenomenon, introducing the latest theories (affect theory, etc.), - basic knowledge of the types of medical psychotherapy, - aetiopathogenesis, diagnosis of psychosomatic disorders, - basic issues of differential diagnosis, - possibilities of psychotherapeutic treatment of psychosomatic disorders and diseases, therapeutic factors in the doctor-patient relationship, types of medical psychotherapy, classification thereof.
Skills
1.• to analyse clinical cases and evaluate situations where a consultation of a doctor-psychotherapist is necessary, • collection of psychosomatic anamnesis for five patients and analysis thereof, • diagnosis and differential diagnosis of psychosomatic disorders, • basic skills in supportive psychotherapy. - ability to perceive and work with the patient as a bio-psycho-social being, - knowledge and ability to interpret and use the information obtained in the diagnostic and treatment process about the cultural and ethnic characteristics of the patients, - knowledge of how to use the patient’s experience, wishes, trust in the doctor in the health care process, - knowledge and understanding of the holistic care principle and application thereof in family medicine.
Competences
1.The acquired competences allow to justify decisions, to perform additional analysis if necessary: - Able to explain the impact of environmental changes on the incidence of diseases in the population, to understand the application of preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic methods in this aspect. Able to integrate knowledge from different fields: - Knowledge and understanding in special disciplines.
