To provide students with an opportunity to acquire knowledge of the classical test theory.

Preliminary Knowledge

General Psychology, mathematical statistics, fundamentals of scientific research, research data processing and analysis.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Defines and explains the types of psychological tools; explains the principles of test quality assessment, basic principles of test design and adaptation.

Skills

1.Discusses the types of psychological tools, construction and adaptation of tests with arguments; critically evaluates the quality of tests based on their psychometric indicators; is able to independently analyse test articles (statement/question), test reliability and validity.

Competences

1.Independently performs test design and adaptation.

Assessment

Individual work

Individual work

-
-
To independently consolidate the lecture material by reading the indicated sources and study literature systematically to prepare for the test (successfully completed test). To carry out an analysis of one scientific article on the development of a psychological measurement instrument and to pass a test on it . Write a report on the self-developed or adapted test (pilot study results). Completing the course feedback survey.

Examination

Title

Grade
1.

Examination

-
-
Final work of the study course: Research report (designed as a scientific article) on the results of the pilot study of the psychological instrument developed or adapted within the study course.
2.

Examination

-
-
Analysis of an article about the development of a psychological instrument and a brief summary of the most important information.
3.

Examination

-
-
• According to RSU Study Regulations I 3.9. point, class attendance is mandatory and is recorded. • Successfully passed the knowledge test (makes up 20% of the grade). • Successfully prepared report on the results of the analysis of the article (makes up 30% of the evaluation). • Successfully developed and submitted on time report on test development or adaptation (makes up 50% of the grade).
