About Study Course
Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.• To formulate and classify the normal anatomy of the heart, major and peripheral blood vessels, congenital anatomical variants. • To recognise, formulate and sequentially arrange radiological normal and pathological findings of the pulmonary vascular system, diseases of major blood vessels on radiographs and CT. • To name and briefly describe the types of measurement of arterial stenosis, basic principles of radiological evaluation of occlusions, aneurysms, pseudoaneurysms. • To formulate and briefly describe the clinical and radiological features of deep vein thrombosis. • To collect, formulate and classify radiological findings of the most common pathologies of the heart and pericardium.
Skills
1.• To distinguish between, interpret and explain radiological normal variants and abnormalities of the cardiovascular system on chest radiographs, CT and MRI scans under the guidance of a certified physician. • To interpret, demonstrate and use Doppler ultrasonography of the arteries and veins of the lower limbs under the guidance of a certified physician. • To distinguish between, interpret and explain CT angiography (CTA) radiological findings and examination descriptions under the guidance of a certified physician. • To interpret, demonstrate and use the cardiac MRI protocol and radiological findings under the guidance of a certified physician.
Competences
1.• To evaluate, substantiate and justify the indications for radiological examinations in cardiovascular radiology, plan the most appropriate examination for the evaluation of a specific pathology. • To substantiate, compare and justify radiological normal variants and pathological findings on chest radiographs for USG, CTA and MRI, including knowledge of basic principles of cardiac MRI protocol.
