About Study Course

Objective

To understand the basic principles of radiation safety in periodontology. To be able to understand importannce of diagnostic radiology in periodontology, ability to correlate clinical information with radiological imaging information.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Knowledge of radiation safety in medicine, normal radiological anatomy, as well as anatomy in different age groups in the teeth-jaw area. Knowledge of diagnostics of pathology on radiographs. Knowledge of the use of 3D X-ray examination software, X-ray data processing, and analysis.

Skills

1.Is able to perform the necessary dental or maxillofacial radiography (according to the clinical examination). Can evaluate what is seen on an X-ray. Is able to use 3D X-ray examination software, perform X-ray data processing and analysis.

Competences

1.Uses acquired knowledge in clinical practice. Can put an accurate diagnosis.
