About Study Course

Objective

The aim of the study course is to build students' understanding of the diversity of public health problems and develop knowledge, skills and competencies in identifying, analyzing and justifying public health problems using public health data, analytical methods and an evidence-based approach.

The student must individually choose one public health problem and develop a proposal for preventive measures, substantiating it with current data and scientific evidence.

The final written exam includes open-ended questions on theoretical aspects of public health, a calculation task using public health data, and an analysis of the public health situation. Students must demonstrate an understanding of methods for identifying public health problems, calculate and interpret key indicators, and outline the risk factors and possible solutions to a current public health problem.
