About Study Course

Objective

To provide basic knowledge in digital dental implantology.

Preliminary Knowledge

Good knowledge in dental prosthetics, maxillo-facial surgery and radiology.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students will be able to understand the basics of digital dental implantology. Students will learn to plan the positions of dental implants before prosthetics with the help of special software.

Skills

1.Students will be able to plan dental implants digitally, as well as learn the basic principles of guided implantation. Students will be able to insert an implant into an artificial jaw with the help of a surgical guide.

Competences

1.This knowledge will allow students to gain a more complete view of patient anatomy, implant position, and the importance of prosthetic knowledge for more predictive treatment planning.

Control of theoretical knowledge with tests and a colloquium at the end of the semester, which consists of 2 parts - the practical part of planning and the theoretical part of questions/answers. Students should prepare a presentation in pairs, practically perform implant planning tasks, insert an implant into an artificial jaw with the help of a surgical guide. In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal.
