About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in US diagnostics and radiology, in accordance with the requirements of the regulations of the urology specialty, in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the urology specialty, in accordance with the regulatory documents of the Republic of Latvia.

1.• US diagnostic imaging basics and principles • Radiation diagnostic basics and principles • Urological disease in the US diagnostics transrectal ultrasonography • Acute urological disease in the US diagnostics.

Skills

1.• Correctly choose US diagnostic or radiation diagnostic method Urological profile sufferers. • Interpret urogenital system organ US intelligence data.

Competences

1.It is necessary to acquire theoretical knowledge about the diagnostic method of ultrasonography, US equipment, as well as the indications and diagnostic possibilities of radiological diagnostics for patients with a urological profile.
