About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in neurosurgery in accordance with the requirements of the regulations of the specialty of neurosurgery.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.In accordance with the UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists) neurosurgeon teaching charter, the doctor has acquired treatment (both surgical and non-surgical) of all human nervous system part (including cortex, blood supply and bearing structures) pathologies, including prevention, diagnostics and treatment, as well as rehabilitation and pain treatment; independently prepared and submitted for publication no fewer than 2 clinical scientific articles.

Skills

1.The doctor is able independently to apply correctly the medical technologies necessary to provide prevention, diagnostics and treatment of human nervous system pathologies in accordance with the possibilities and available technical equipment in the field on neurosurgery; to apply correctly skills on nervous system pathology treatment options in other specialities acquired during disciplinary rotation, as well as fill in the medical documentation in accordance with the existing statutory requirements.

Competences

1.Using the acquired knowledge and skills, the doctor is able to practice independently in the specialty of neurosurgeon, self-critically evaluate the results of his / her work, observe the doctor's ethics, perform clinical scientific research, participate in peer training and regularly improve his / her professional capacity through self-study.

In addition to the workshops, residents carry out research and teaching, as well as visits to RSF organized lectures of medicine and other sciences interdisciplinary problems and the theory of the guidelines. The resident must independently review the literature, prepare presentations on the topics of the seminars.
