About Study Course

Objective

Promote awareness of psychology as a science and its connection to other sciences. To promote understanding of the processes and manifestations of personal psychic statement processes and to provide knowledge of the fundamental principles of the development of these processes. To promote awareness of the nature of personality psychic processes, emotional states and individual characteristics and their manifestations in a sporting environment. To raise awareness of the regularities and specificities of human development at different stages of life, of the possibilities for promoting personal development and stimulating the growth of one’s personality.

Preliminary Knowledge

Successful completion of the secondary school programme, prerequisites on the design and functions of CNS are desired.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Name psychology research methods, theoretical basic directions of psychology and use appropriate industry terminology.

2.Describes the specific nature of the object of developmental psychology, the cognitive and socio-emotional fields of the person and their development.

3.Defines mental statement processes and describes the periodization of age stages of personality development, personality development theories and clear approaches to personality development.

Skills

1.The acquired theoretical bases on personality research approaches in personality characterisation shall be applied.

2.Describes each age stage by area of development - physical, cognitive, emotional and social development.

3.Apply the acquired knowledge to the explanation of the development of one’s personality.

Competences

1.Analyse the basic principles of the development of psychiatric phenomena and human development, their expression in professional activities.

2.In theory, different methodologies and practical approaches in pedagogical work shall be evaluated and applied.

Students shall establish a mind map of the mental statement processes within the framework of their work, evaluating the interaction of the mental processes with each other in case analysis.

Test - life path analysis

15.00% from total grade
10 points

An analytical description of one theoretical direction of psychology in relation to life-path analysis. An analysis of the life path is submitted, which analyses the progress of an individual’s development process at different stages of age, in relation to the proposed theoretical direction of developmental psychology.

3.

Presentation

30.00% from total grade
10 points

Independent integrative research with preparation of a presentation on one of the psychiatric phenomena (sensations, perception, attention, memory, emotions, motivation, thinking) and possibilities for developing it during the training process at the age stage chosen by the student.
