About Study Course

Objective

Ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in diagnosing and treating of neurological diseases and syndromes. Ensure and promote the acquisition of knowledge and skills in examination of neurological condition in different age groups, in diagnosis and treatment principles of neurological diseases and disorders of the nervous system.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students demonstrate in-depth and extended knowledge and understanding of neurology relevant to the requirements in the specialty. Define the aetiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, treatment and prevention of diseases of the nervous system. Interpret the results of clinical tests and investigative methods.

Skills

1.Apply neurological problem-solving skills to perform the professional functions of a qualified specialist in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care of neurological diseases, perform the practical manipulations provided for in the programme, and able to function in education and research.

Competences

1.Students formulate and critically analyse complex clinical neurological problems, evaluate research in the field of neurological science, perform necessary additional analysis, justify the decision if necessary, demonstrate understanding and ethical responsibility for the outcome of the neurologist's professional performance.
