About Study Course

Objective

To enable students to acquire theoretical knowledge and skills for the development of professional competencies in outdoor and adventure activities, orienteering and tourism (organization of technical techniques, classes, evaluation of their own performance). To acquire theoretical and practical knowledge about the application of technical techniques in competition conditions.

Preliminary Knowledge

Previous study course module completed successfully: General pedagogy, adult education, general and developmental psychology, anatomy, basic physiology, sports philosophy, first aid.

When starting a study course, knowledge, skills and skills are required in accordance with the standard of general secondary education in sport at last.

1.Will be familiar with the orientation sports map, colors, designations, scales. Special terminology in Latvian and English

1.Knows how to perform an orienteering distance using a map and compass. Knows how to orient a map, determine direction and control it when moving in an area, knows how to determine distance from a map and control it when moving in an orienteering distance. Knows how to read an orienteering map.

2.Knows how to find the quickest - the shortest variant of the road in practice and evaluate (to the detriment of modern technologies) orienteering course.

3.Will be able to plan, install, overcome and remove a variety of tourism techniques in the area using different tourist hubs.

4.Is able to demonstrate various types of tourism techniques during the Tourism rally and the Strand.

5.Can plan (including using state-of-the-art technologies), prepare and practically make a tourism trek (infantry, water tourism or cycle tourism), including during camp.
