About Study Course
Objective
To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in dermatovenerology, in accordance with the requirements of the regulations of the specialty of urology, in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of urologist, in accordance with the regulatory documents of the Republic of Latvia.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.• Ģenitourinārā system and sexually transmitted diseases. Diagnostics, differential. (20 patients evaluated results of the investigation). • Skin and mucous membrane changes in sexually transmitted diseases, diagnosis and differential diagnosis, tactics.
Skills
1.Able to examine patients. Taking swabs from the urethra and cervix - 5 and taking bacteriological cultures - 10 is carried out independently.
Competences
1.Must learn: • Theoretical knowledge of acute conditions and pathologies caused by them in dermatovenerology clinic, their etiology, pathogenesis, symptomatology, diagnosis, differential diagnosis. • Theoretical knowledge of chronic genital diseases in the dermatovenerology clinic, skin and mucous membrane changes in STDs, their etiology, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, indications for conservative treatment. • Diagnostic methods, instruments and equipment used in dermatovenereology clinic.
