Objective

Knowledge
1.the program provided amount of theoretics to be able to independently manage any of forensic medical expertise of living persons and by medical documents, as well as pass the certification exam;
Skills
1.to make forensic medicine investigations of living persons, using appropriate methodologies, instrumentation and manipulation relating to that expertise case, to properly take and send samples to laboratory investigation; compile and execute the research results in the form of an expert conclusion
Competences
1.to independently manage living person, medical documents and evidence forensic expertises, to be able to manage criminal, civil or administrative proceedings needed actions, are acquired knowledge and skills for scientific-research and teaching job, to be able to get further education and introduce innovation in their work, to acquire medical and forensic expert's codex of ethics, the ability to communicate with patients, professionals and the public, as well as providing medical emergency.

to acquire knowledge and practical skills for living person examination by preparing seminars, performing practical studies at Forensic medicine ambulance and other clinics, making the expertises by medical documents, as well as carrying out teaching, training and research work with medical students.
Content of the program:
- Theoretical education (check the Residential seminar program for 3rd year, responsible person: Assoc. Prof. O.Teteris, lecturers P.Pļuhins, O.Javerbaums, D.Bērziņa,); 3rd year seminar topics No. 3,7,12,13,14,20,26,27,32;
- Practical work (training base at State Centre for Forensic Medical Examination, lecturers involved in the training - P. Pļuhins, O.Javerbaums, D.Bērziņa)
The cycle of training for Clinical Forensic medicine includes knowledge, skills and experience acquisition in examination of living persons by:
- Personal injury severity determination;
- Evaluation of mechanism and the time of occurrence of injury;
- Evaluation of trauma and corresponding overall disability;
- Forensic surveys methodology for the victims of violence;
- The health status expertises;
- Age determination expertises of living persons;
- Forensic gynecological expertises;
- Forensic andrologic expertises;
- The Commission and the complex forensic expertises of living persons;
- Expertises by medical documents and materials of the criminal cases;
- Sample taking and material evidence dispatch for laboratory research;
(For laboratory research methods need to know the general principles of the method, the sample taking sequence and the evaluation of the results for the expert conclusion);
- Forensic expert function on court hearing.
Manipulations: independently carried out at least 200 forensic expertises of living persons, compile 200 expert conclusions, participating in 3 court hearings (together I and II corse)

- a report on the 2nd cycl's carried out forensic expertises, case studies, practical skills test with the situation tasks, theoretical oral examination, theoretical knowledge and practical skill evaluation in the 10-point score system.
