About Study Course

Objective

Develop and strengthen basic skills of students in research methodology: prepare students for quantitative research project, to develop the skills to create a report on the study (written report, presentation, poster), to develop the skills to justify the importance of scientific research in the development of rehabilitation.

Preliminary Knowledge

Knowledge about human, environment, public health, electronic databases and basics in biometry. Basic computer skills.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.As the result of study course student will acquire knowledge about: • the development of research project; • the importance of research in profession; • quantitative and qualitative research; • legislation and regulations concerning research.

Skills

1.As the result of study course student will acquire basic skills in: • formulation of research questions; • independent scientific literature searching; • a critical assessment of scientific publications in the specialty; • understanding, choosing and justifying appropriate research design and methodology, taking into account the ethical aspects; • writing a report on the study.

Competences

1.As the result of study course student will be able to practically apply the acquired basic knowledge and skills in carrying out research project, critically read professional scientific publications, to prepare reports on the studies (written report, presentation, poster).
