About Study Course
Objective
To acquire basic knowledge of occupational medicine as a clinical discipline and its place in internal medicine.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Knows the list of occupational diseases, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, examination possibilities thereof, incl. on specific examinations and relevant legislative acts, documents.
Skills
1.To carry out professional anamnesis collection, draw up an examination plan, including specific examinations, to interpret the hygienic characteristics of the workplace and safety data sheets.
Competences
1.Assess the work environment risks in connection with the possibility of developing occupational diseases, participate in solving questions about early diagnosis of occupational diseases, treatment, evaluation of work abilities.

- expanded acquisition of additional knowledge from literature and teaching materials of e-studies (25% of the total assessment);
- descriptions of the medical history of at least six occupational outpatients and practical work under the supervision of a certified physician (50% of the total assessment);
- preparation of a report (10-15 min) on an occupational disease (25% of the total course assessment).
