About Study Course

Objective

To promote the education of highly qualified specialists – senior coaches in the sport – who would successfully plan, organize, lead, and evaluate the training process, educational-methodical sessions, and competitions in accordance with the rules of the sport and the requirements of the professional standard for senior coaches in the respective sport

Dynamic element with rotation (with specific apparatus)

Create a dynamic element with rotation with the highest value possible.

Students draw an object for which this element is to be created. Possible items:

  • hoop
  • ball
  • clubs
  • ribbon

Base of the Dynamic element with rotation consists of 2 rotations. Possible variations in base rotations:

  • 2 vertical rotation
  • illusion and forward roll
  • 2 forward rolls
  • Walkover forward and seated vertical rotation

Complement this element with the specific criteria described in the Rhythmic Gymnastics code of points.

Presentation must include:

  • information about the current base value
  • criteria added
  • element final value
  • teaching

Difficulty of apparatus (with each apparatus)

Find 2 video examples of difficulty of apparatus for each apparatus (hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon):

  • 1 difficulty of apparatus with a value of 0,20
  • 1 difficulty of apparatus with a value of 0,30

For each apparatus find a video example with a difficulty of apparatus with 2 basis and 1 criterion OR a difficylty of apparatus with a base value of 0,40

For each element must provide the following information:

  • base
  • criteria

The assignment is considered successfully completed if the presentation includes all the required information.

Analysis of the artistry and execution of individual exercises with apparatus

With each apparatus (hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon), select and find 2 individual exercises for which the following are described:

  • artistic execution - conformity to music, movement performance, structure of exercise, etc.
  • technical execution - technical errors, deviations in body difficulty elements, loss of apparatus

Presentation slides includes only subclauses that will be told! The exercise analysis can be presented before or after the video demonstration.

The assignment is considered successfully completed if the presentation includes all the required information.

The choreography combinations designed for specific purpose

Based on the selected objective, create 3 choreographic combinations:

  • when demonstraing, the combinations are being performed with appropriate musical accompaniment.

Possible objectives for the combinations:

  • promoting foot and ankle mobility
  • developing coordination
  • developing balance

Development of choreography combinations performed on the floor

  • when demonstrating, the combinations must be executed with appropriate musical accompaniment.
  • each combination must include a detailed description using appropriate professional terminology, clearly outlining the execution of the movements, relevant methodological guidelines and purpose

Analysis of group exercise videos (freely choosen)

Choose 1 group exercise video (according to the current Olympic cycle), for which you describe and analyze:

  • Artistry (based on the artistic component table)

The selected exercise for analysis must be sent by email. The selected exercise can be changed up to a certain date by sending a new video link in advance!

Development of a choreography complex

10 points

Develop complexes of choreography combinations:

  • all combinations must be included (plié to Grand battement)
  • appropriate musical accompaniment
  • must be preceded by a description of the combinations (correct terminology, methodological instructions)

Technical presentation and formatting of the assignment:

  • Coaching skills
  • Use of appropriate terminology in both the written description and practical coaching
  • Quality of the developed combinations
  • Selection and understanding of appropriate musical accompaniment
  • Responses to questions following the practical coaching session

The assignment is considered successfully completed if a grade of at least 4 (almost satisfactory) is achieved.

Individual routine without apparatus developpement

15.00% from total grade
10 points

Develop an individual routine without apparatus, taking into account:

  • The gymnast’s age group (1st Sports Class – younger group)
  • The training group (MT-2 group)
  • The assigned music

Prepare a presentation about the individual routine, including:

  • Title slide
  • The structure of the individual routine (presented as a chronological sequence of elements)
  • An analysis of the completed work, addressing the following questions:
    • What difficulties were encountered?
    • What was performed better than planned?
    • What was hoped to be executed better?
  • Thank you for your attention.

The following will be assessed:

  • Compliance of the assignment with the technical formatting requirements
  • Compliance of the developed exercise with the current competition rules and the gymnast’s age, sports class, and training group
  • Responses to questions

The assignment is considered successfully completed if a grade of at least 4 (almost satisfactory) is achieved.

Development of a training plan

10.00% from total grade

Develop a detailed plan for one training session - The age group, main training objective, and training cycle may be selected freely.

Include the following information:

  • age group for which the training session is intended;
  • training period in which the session is implemented;
  • training objective, main tasks, and required equipment;
  • total duration of the training session, including the duration of each part;
  • justification for each task/exercise (why is it included?).

The following will be assessed:

  • technical presentation and formatting of the assignment;
  • use of appropriate terminology;
  • suitability of the tasks for the selected age group, training period, and training objective;
  • justification of the selected tasks;
  • responses to questions regarding the development of the training plan.

The assignment is considered successfully completed if a grade of at least 4 (almost satisfactory) is achieved.

Tasks for improvement of apparatus technical elements and body difficulty elements

Apparatus technical elements (hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon) - choose 1 technical element for each apparatus, for which 3 improvement tasks are developed. For each element, specify:

  • instructions for performing the exercise;
  • methodological guidelines;
  • physical qualities being developed;
  • age group and training cycle for which the exercises are intended.

Body difficulty elements (balance, rotations, jump) - from each group of elements, choose 1 element for which 3 improvement tasks are developed. For each element, specify:

  • instructions for performing the exercise;
  • methodological guidelines;
  • physical qualities being developed;
  • age group and training cycle for which the exercises are intended.

The following will be assessed:

  • Compliance of the work with the technical design (including whether a sufficient number of tasks have been developed)
