Knowledge
1.Name and characterise the main arts (in specialisation) based and other relevant assessment instruments utilised for assessing the individual patients in psychiatry, rehabilitation and social care. Characterise the basic principles of co-operation and communication with patient/ his or her custodian as well as other specialists of the team.
Skills
1.Assess the patient and formulate goals and tasks according to the bio-psycho-social approach. Utilise assessment instruments and interventions. Compare and explain differences between artistic expressions of different clients/ patients. Analyse non-verbal communication of the patient within the arts therapy context.
Competences
1.Apply arts based and other relevant assessment instruments; register the assessment process and results according to the chosen assessment instruments.

Student, being supervised by a mentor, establishes contact and, using arts based and other relevant assessment instruments, implements assessment of at least two patients of different ages, focusing on their indicative actual physical and psychological condition and social situation, difficulties and course of their development, resources and skills, suitability for arts therapies, implements assessment of risks and contraindications, as well as formulates therapy goals. Provides with written assessment protocols of two patients; provides reflection about one’s resources and difficulties experienced while executing the task.
