About Study Course

Objective

To provide the students with knowledge and skills that psychiatrists require in consultation liaison psychiatry.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Knowledge of possible psychiatric and behavioural disorders in patients with somatic, neurological diseases and in gynaecology practice, peculiarities of treating such disorders. Knowledge of medicinal product interactions.

Skills

1.Ability to diagnose somato-psychiatric conditions and differentiate them from primary psychiatric disorders, to draw up the plan of care of such patients, to implement psychoeducation of patients and physicians.

Competences

1.Competences in communicating with the aforementioned patients, thus ensuring medication compliance, to manage the process of psychiatric disorder treatment, which is implemented by non-psychiatrist physicians.
