About Study Course

Objective

The aim of the course for students is to understand the specificities and specificities of the planning, organisation, management of recreational events, and to acquire the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia related to the planning and organisation of events.

Preliminary Knowledge

In the professional Bachelor’s programme of sports science, students need knowledge of human functioning, which gives students the opportunity to understand the movements to be made, in the physical activities of leisure time. Knowledge of English is required at a sufficient level to read industry literature and guide course terminology in English.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students will understand the role of recreational activities in restoring a person’s physical, mental and psychoemotional abilities, in the process of building personality and social relationships. Understands LR legislation in relation to the organisation and implementation of mass events.

2.Students will describe the types of recreational activities and understand the choice of activities to be used in recreational activities according to the age, fitness, type of occupation and interests of participants in the event.

1.A plan of recreational measures shall be drawn up and implemented according to the interests, age, fitness of the contingent. Adjusts relevant activities, creates event scenarios. Planning, organising and implementing recreational activities.

2.Cooperate with State and local government institutions in organising recreational events, attracting and motivating participants in the event.
