About Study Course

Objective

To deepen students' knowledge and understanding of the science of pedagogy and the basic didactic principles of adult pedagogy. Improve the ability to use the newly acquired knowledge and competences in the study process, in one's professional growth and activities for the benefit of patients/clients.

Active involvement in the conduct of classes, including student knowledge and observations on personal experience gained during RSU Science week and RSU conferences in conjunction with the results of scientific research.

Individually. Prepare a narrative - a short reflection (orally, up to 3 min) on the choice of profession, on the role of pedagogical knowledge and skills in it. Engage in a group discussion, justify your opinion and vision on specific examples/studies.

Analysis of scientific paper with the involvement of a freely selected AI tool.

Test

Individually or alone. 1) Find a publication in English in scientific databases (Scopus, Web of experience, PubMed, Eric +, etc.) on a topic of interest to yourself in relation to the subjects covered by the Pedagogy course (pedagogy/didactic methods/research in his professional field).

2) To develop and submit in e-studies an analysis of an Article which includes: (a) basic knowledge and personal vision of the Article, (b) the involvement of one of the AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, NotebookLMplus, etc.) and the support provided in the analysis process, (c) the conclusions of whether and how the selected AI tool assisted/interfered with the analysis of the Article.

“Presentation on a topical issue in the pedagogy course”

“Presentation on a topical issue in the Pedagogy course” (choice of topic according to the list in e-studies). Individually or in a 2-3 student group, presented orally and presented in Powerpoint format in e-studies. The narrative should include: 1) an interactive method with the involvement of band members. 2) not more than 3 questions regarding the selected topic for discussion in the study group.

Individual or couples’ work. Presentation and advocacy of the draft adult non-formal education programme. (PowerPoint presentation 7-10 slides; time limit 5 min per project).

Development of an adult informal programme

Individually or in a pair. Develop and submit in e-studies, not later than one week after the last lesson, an educational programe related to the specificities of the chosen profession (physiotherapist, nutritionist, audiologoped, orthosis-prosthesis, occupational therapist). (Word doc. 5-6/7 pages with 2 attachments - an information card and program evaluation questionnaire).

Knowledge test on learnings from the Pedagogy course.

The test (30 questions) runs online, once. The time of completion of the test shall be agreed individually between each group and the teaching staff.
