About Study Course

Objective

to provide and enhance the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, per the pediatric surgical specialty’s requirements to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of pediatric surgery.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Analyze diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic methods in pediatric surgery – be able to evaluate the upper and lower gastrointestinal tracts during endoscopy; be able to evaluate the airways during bronchoscopy - diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic method capabilities in pediatric surgery. - gastroscopy as a diagnostic method for pediatric surgical pathology. - bronchoscopic and esophagogastroduodenoscopic use in emergency situations for children of various ages.

Skills

1.To be able to perform esophagogastroduodenoscopies and bronchoscopies in children at various ages with foreign bodies in the respiratory tract or esophagus.

Competences

1.To evaluate the upper and lower gastrointestinal tracts in children with acute diseases, emergency situations, and pathological conditions.
