About Study Course

Objective

To ensure acquisition of theoretical and practical skills on diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities of aortic, upper limb arterial diseases in interventional radiology.

1.Knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities of aortic, upper limb artery disease in interventional radiology.

Skills

1.During the course, the resident learns the technical aspects of catheterization of large blood vessels, performs supra-aortic angioplasty, stenting, embolization.

Competences

1.Upon completion of the course, the resident will be able to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills to diagnose and treat aortic and upper extremity arterial diseases, will be able to recognize and treat iatrogenic vascular trauma and puncture complications.

Assessment of residents' knowledge includes testing of current knowledge - seminars and practical training (30%), patient analysis (20%), multi-choice tests and clinical situation analysis (50%). Examination of the acquired knowledge with differentiated assessment in a 10-point system.
