About Study Course

Objective

Acquire knowledge of modern - holistic views on human health issues (human functioning and its disorders at the level of body functions, activities and participation), rehabilitation objectives, tasks in medical and social terms.

Preliminary Knowledge

Human anatomy and physiology, preferable knowledge of medical ethics, propedeytics, pathology.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.As a result of successful study course completion, students: 1) acquire basic knowledge of the objectives, tasks, human functioning of physical and rehabilitation medicine; 2) be able to assess functional disorders in accordance with the International functional Classification; 3) be able to name the classification of technical aids and the principles for their selection; 4) will obtain decreases regarding functional disorders in patients with various diseases, injuries.

Skills

1.As a result of successfully completing the study course, students will be able to assess functional disorders, assess the risks of medical complications, the disorders they cause.

Competences

1.As a result of the successful study course, students will be able to make practical use of the acquired knowledge and skills in assessing patients’ health and functional disorders.
