Knowledge
1.The student will gain knowledge about the principles of primary health care organization, basic tasks of a nurse working at the primary health care level, principles of patient care in primary health care practice and/or patient/client residence, the concept of prevention and preventive measures, basic principles of medical and social rehabilitation, health promotion and its principles, the tasks of a nurse working at the primary health care level in health promotion and the education of patients/clients and their relatives in matters of health preservation, promotion and care, principles of professional ethics, principles of therapeutic communication, patients' rights.
Skills
1.The student will be able to plan, perform and evaluate the care of patients of all ages in the practice of a primary health care doctor and/or the patient's/client's place of residence; to apply the principles of patient care in nursing work in the practice of a primary health care doctor and/or at the patient's/client's place of residence; to plan, organize and implement preventive measures in the practice of primary health care physicians and/or at the patient's/client's place of residence; to plan, organize and carry out vaccination; to educate patients/clients and their relatives on health preservation, promotion and care; to apply medical and social rehabilitation methods in care work; to create and ensure therapeutic communication with patients/clients and their relatives, taking into account psychological, social and biological factors, to apply the principles of professional ethics and the principles of patients' rights; to apply and evaluate quality assurance and improvement measures in care work.
Competences
1.Using the acquired knowledge, the student will be able to describe the basic principles of primary health care organization; to substantiate and evaluate the basic tasks of a nurse working at the primary health care level; assess the patient's/client's health condition; identify the patient's/client's needs and formulate the patient's/client's current care problems, forecast potential care problems; identify health risk factors for the patient/client at the primary health care level; to plan preventive measures; develop health promotion programs to educate patients/clients and their relatives on health preservation, promotion and care; to formulate the basic principles and methods of medical and social rehabilitation, their interconnections; to analyze the principles of professional ethics; to formulate the principles of patients' rights; evaluate and analyze different communication situations.
