About Study Course
Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.The student will have acquired the necessary theoretical knowledge about the following: • structure of the meridian-collateral system of acupuncture; • topography; • physiological functions, clinical application in accordance with the concepts adopted by traditional Chinese medicine; • acupuncture point systems, nomenclature, topography, indications for use.
Skills
1.The student will have acquired and demonstrate practical skills in the localisation of acupuncture meridians and acupuncture points.
Competences
1.After completing the course, the student is able to use the acquired knowledge about the meridian-collateral system in clinical practice, including: • collects essential information about the meridian system; • is able to differentiate meridians, justify choice thereof for solving clinical situations; • knows the topography of acupuncture points; • has good knowledge of the indications for the use of acupuncture points.

|
Current knowledge test - in seminars and during practical training. Final examination - 75% of the assessment is for the theoretical concepts of the meridian-collateral system and 25% for the meridian and acupuncture point topography in practice. |
