About Study Course

Objective

Acquire broader, in-depth knowledge of the topics of pneumonology and the relevant clinical problem situations. To become competent in the assessment of patients with lung pathologies overviewed within the course, to evaluate the nature of the relevant pathologies, the potential diagnosis and treatment at different stages of the disease, to familiarise with possible differential diagnoses. The aim of the course is to promote the creation and strengthening of competences, too, through linking various topics of pneumonology discussed in the course with the nosologies of other specialties.

Preliminary Knowledge

Knowledge from "A" study course "Pneumonology". Anatomy of the respiratory system, physiology, pathological physiology, physical examination methods, radiological examination methods in the diagnostics of lung diseases, pharmacology of the respiratory system.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.The acquisition of knowledge to recognize, assess, understand, diagnose, differentiate and adequately treat lung diseases overviewed during the course, as well as the knowledge about action in case of problemsituations.

Skills

1.During the study course, students will use reasoning and analysis skills to settle situations, to understand and interpret them, to search for possible solutions.

Competences

1.During the course of the study course, transverse competences will be strengthened by linking the various topics of pneumonology discussed in the course with the nosologies of other specialities.
