About Study Course

Objective

To provide and enhance the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in pediatric and adolescent gynecology, per the pediatric surgical specialty’s requirements to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of pediatric surgery.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.- to define conservative and surgical treatment indications in pediatric and adolescent gynecology. - to draft the examination and treatment plan for female patients with gynecological illnesses. - To orientate with the diagnostic methods and instruments used in pediatric and adolescent gynecology, as well as the surgical treatment options and principles. To learn: • detailed theoretical knowledge of emergency situations in pediatric and adolescent gynecology. • conservative and surgical treatment indications and their application in surgical emergencies in pediatric and adolescent gynecology. • diagnostic methods, instruments and apparatuses, and practical skills for diagnostic and treatment manipulations used in pediatric and adolescent gynecology. • to draft an examination and treatment plan for patients with acute and chronic gynecological pathologies.

Skills

1.- To determine the indications for surgical treatment in pediatric and adolescent gynecology. - To perform urgent therapeutic surgical procedures for female patients with acute gynecological illnesses.
