About Study Course
Objective
The goal of this course is to prepare students for the effective use of artificial intelligence (AI) in business management. Students will gain in-depth knowledge of AI solutions and their strategic applications, and acquire practical skills in AI project management and business process optimization. The course will develop competencies in AI strategy development, data management, and addressing ethical issues, enhancing students' ability to lead and implement AI-driven organizational changes and find close alignment between AI and business needs.
Preliminary Knowledge
Business management fundamentals: basic knowledge of business process management. Understanding the structures and management principles of organisations. Project management basics. Understanding technology: basic digital literacy. Ability to work with business software. Understanding the basic principles of data analysis. Analytical skills: ability to analyze business problems. Critical thinking. Understanding basic statistics.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Students will analyse the potential and limitations of AI solutions in business management, identify current industry trends and explain how they affect the company’s strategic decisions.

2.Students will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the design and implementation of AI strategies, as well as assess the benefits and risks of different approaches.

3.Students will discuss in a reasoned manner the suitability of AI solutions for different organisational situations using critical thinking and comparative analysis.

4.Students will apply at least three AI tools designed to analyze and optimize business processes and explain how the results obtained affect decision-making.

5.Students will compare at least three different MI project management methodologies and choose the most appropriate approach based on the specific business situation.

6.Students will collect and interpret in-depth knowledge of AI ethical principles and governance practices, as well as develop guidelines for responsible use of AI in their organization.

Skills
1.Develops and documents a comprehensive AI strategy for the organization, including detailed situation analysis, specific implementation steps, measurable outcome indicators, and required resource calculations.

2.Plan and implement AI projects by establishing a detailed project plan, applying both agile and traditional project management techniques, documenting progress and measuring project results.

3.Assess and compare AI solutions through functionality analysis, cost-benefit assessment, verification of compliance with technical requirements and assessment of implementation risks.

4.Establish and implement a data management strategy for AI initiatives, defining quality criteria, implementing security requirements and ensuring regulatory compliance.

5.Manage and coordinate processes for changing the implementation of AI by developing a change management plan, identifying measurable indicators and organising the necessary training programmes.

Final test students will create and present a comprehensive plan either for: a) Transforming an existing company using AI technologies, or b) Developing a new AI-based business that solves a specific business problem. It will demonstrate ability to apply course concepts to real-world scenarios, synthesizing knowledge from various lectures. Develops presentation and business planning skills crucial for AI implementation in organizations. Performance on the final test will be graded by following criteria: Quality and feasibility of the AI strategy/business plan (30%) - Depth of AI concept application (10%) - Presentation clarity and professionalism (30%) - Innovative thinking and problem-solving (30%) |

Total contribution 25% of total grade. |
