Norm, Health and Biopsychosocial Model in Clinical Psychology
Description
This lecture addresses the concept of norm in clinical psychology by analysing its relative, socio-cultural and contextually defined nature, as well as the various criteria used to distinguish between norm and psychiatric pathology (statistical, functional, social, subjective wellbeing and clinical criteria). Particular attention is paid to clinical thinking and case formulation within the biopsychosocial framework, emphasising an integrated view of the patient rather than an isolated interpretation of symptoms. Students become acquainted with the practical application of the biopsychosocial model in clinical evaluation, treatment planning and multidisciplinary cooperation, as well as discuss the role of this model in professional boundaries and the role of psychologist in the healthcare system. |

Perception disorder: illusions and hallucinations
Description
The lecture looks at perceptual disorders as abnormal distortions of the perceptual process. Illusions (physiological, affective, pathological) and hallucinations are analysed, highlighting their differences in psychopathological criteria. Details look at the modalities of hallucinations (hearing, vision, tactile, smell, visceral), as well as the difference between actual hallucinations and pseudo-hallucinations. The emphasis is on characterizing a patient’s subjective experience and differentiating perceptual disorders from normal psychic processes such as fantasy or imagination. |

Description
Lecture is dedicated to psychopathological analysis of emotions, affectation and mood disorders. Quantitative emotional disorders (hypotymium, hypertimium, apathy) are looked at, as are qualitative disorders such as emotional lability, emotional numbness, ambivalence and dysphoria. Abnormal afective states and afecta mismatch are analyzed separately. The emphasis is on describing emotional outcomes rather than possibilities for their regulation or psychological correction. |

Formal impairment of thinking. Mindset content disorder: MALDI, overrated ideas and obsessions
Description
The lecture analyzes thinking as a structured psychic process, the disorder of which can affect both form and content. Formal reasoning disorders such as changes in the pace of thinking, disintegration of logical structure, perseverations, resonation and disorganization of associations are all looked at. Similarly, disturbances in the content of thinking – MALDI, overrated ideas and obsessions – are analysed, highlighting their psychopathological traits, degree of criticism and differences between themselves. Lecture provides language and structure for accurately describing abnormal thinking. |

Emotion and afecta disorder

Disorders of will and behaviour
Description
The lecture looks at disorders of will and purposeful behaviour within the framework of psychopathology. Hypobulic disorders (abulation, passivity), hyperbulski disorders (impulsivity, psychomotor arousal), as well as parabulary phenomena including catatonic symptoms (negativism, mutism, echolaria, ehopraxia) are analysed. The lecture helps to understand how deliberate action, initiative and goal realisation are disrupted, focusing on describing symptoms rather than correcting behaviour. |
