About Study Course

Objective

Completing this study course, students will get knowledge about the latest nutritional recommendations for infants and children. Students will not only acquire theoretical knowledge, but will be able to compile nutrition data and evaluate the nutrition of infants and children and their adequacy. Will be able to provide recommendations for the correction of healthy children and children's nutrition in case of various diseases / illnesses (malnutrition, obesity, food allergies, celiac disease, oncology, other chronic diseases).

Knowledge

1.Understands the differences of nutrition for infants, toddlers and children. Understands the peculiarities of nutrition in case of various diseases and disorders.

Skills

1.Able to apply theoretical knowledge in appropriate dietary recommendations in a way that is understandable to the patient or parents/carers. Orient themselves in literature sources related to infant and child nutrition.

1.Able to assess the patient and apply appropriate dietary recommendations.

1. Preparation of a presentation on a topic that is agreed with the lecturer. Correct selection of literature and correct reference naming of literature sources. Expressing own opinion on the chosen topic. 2. Collection of nutritional history and its analysis. Development of appropriate recommendations.

1. Presentation should include: topic actualization, literature review, available researches results, discussion and conclusions, correct references naming. 2.
