About Study Course

Objective

To provide theoretical knowledge and the acquisition and improvement of practical skills in invasive and non-invasive radiology, in accordance with the requirements of the regulations of the specialty of vascular surgery, in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of vascular surgeon.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.- acquire skills and diagnose arterial and venous diseases at the level of occlusion, choose the most informative examination methods, a more effective revascularization method or other treatment methods, - choose an examination protocol for urgent vascular pathologies, perform arterial reconstruction in case of thromboembolism, - detection and modification of atherosclerosis risk factors.

Skills

1.- detect and prescribe treatment in cases of stenosis/occlusion of the carotid and other brachiocephalic arteries, - implement the prevention, diagnosis and modern treatment of deep vein thrombosis, - provide specialized assistance for acute thromboembolism, including mesenteric localization, vascular injuries, including iatrogenic, according to developed protocols; diagnose and provide help for "compartment" syndrome.

Competences

1.- develop a long-term program for effective diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of more common diseases of arteries, veins, lymph vessels, - energetically apply modern treatment technologies to diseases with a high risk of disability and death.
