Objective

Knowledge
1.Theoretical concepts of thoracic surgery: • anatomy and pathophysiology of lungs, pleura, bronchi, oesophagus and chest wall; • techniques of diagnostics, instruments used in thoracic surgery, surgical approach in emergencies; • providing urgent aid in emergency; • specifics of postoperative patient management.
Skills
1.• to correctly evaluate patient general condition; • to properly examine the patient; • to be able to do pleurocentesis; • to be able to establish pleural cavity drainage.
Competences
1.To provide primary and professional emergency aid to patients with thoracic diseases.

Detailed analysis of literature (current guidelines) on myocardial revascularization (epidemiology, indications, PCI, surgical methods).
The resident reviews the literature on acute cardiac tamponade, chronic pericardial disease, mediastinal tumors (causes, diagnosis, treatment).
