About Study Course
Objective
By the end of the course, the student can independently manage the process of psychological counseling in a simulated learning situation, demonstrating basic counseling skills and reflecting on their professional practice in accordance with the requirements of the psychologist's professional activity and ethics.
Preliminary Knowledge
Study courses at the bachelor’s level related to the professional activities and counselling of a psychologist.Performs the basic principles and stages of the process of psychological counselling; knows the regulation of the professional activities of a psychologist and the basic principles of professional ethics
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Use terminology for psychological counselling and psychological assistance, distinguishing clearly between the concepts of counselling, psychological assistance and psychotherapy.

2.Describe the stages of the psychological counselling process and the professional competences of the psychologist in each of them
3.Explain the basic principles of building a consultative relationship and professional ethics in the work of a psychologist, referring to the regulation of the profession.
4.Describe the emotional core needs of the client and the importance of the neuropsychological aspects of the counselling process in adapting the counselling process to the context of the client.
Skills
1.Analyzes the case study and selects appropriate psychological counselling or psychological help methods, justifying the choice with the client's needs.
2.Plan a psychological intervention process for a specific case of learning
3.Demonstrate basic counselling skills in a simulated counselling session documented in a video clip
4.Analyse a video of a simulated counselling session using a structured observation form and justify your assessment by reference to observable features.
Competences
1.Independently manages the process of psychological counselling in a simulated learning situation, following the logic of the stages of the process and the principles of professional ethics.
2.Evaluate the suitability of psychological counselling approaches for different client groups, taking into account the client context and the limits of one’s professional competence.
