About Study Course

Objective

Ensure education of senior sports coaches in fitness specialisation in conducting individual classes, teaching the terminology of fitness in Latvian and English, developing and strengthening awareness of the specificities of the field of fitness; teaching different methods of personal fitness classes and exercises applied, as well as the principles of lesson building.

Preliminary Knowledge

Knowledge of sports theory, pedagogy, sports pedagogy, sports didactic, psychology or sports psychology, anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. Study courses and knowledge in sports theory, training didactics, pedagogy have been acquired.

The student shall establish and submit to e-studies an personal fitness class programme for one person by filling in the template inserted in e-studies. Receives corrections from the lecturer.

The student presents a macro cycle and partly conducts one of the individual fitness classes created in writing during the semester and submitted in e-studies to the student of his study group, which is described in the template available in e-studies and for which the lecturer has received written feedback in e-studies until the examination lesson. After conducting, constructive feedback is received from the lecturer in accordance with the assessment criteria available in e-studies; as well as the lecturer asks the student additional questions about conducting the demonstrated group class.
