About Study Course
Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Sufficient knowledge is acquired so that the decisions made regarding operative or interventional tumor treatment do not conflict with the treatment plan and options of oncologists, hematologists and radiation therapists.
Skills
1.Able to order examinations for the diagnosis of tumors and metastases, to specify the stage of spread of the pathological process in the spine, to assess the feasibility and validity of a biopsy.
Competences
1.Diagnose a pathological process in the spine, prescribe full-spectrum differential diagnostic examinations to clarify the diagnosis, including invasive ones (DSA, biopsy). Participation in a multidisciplinary council regarding the treatment plan for an oncology patient's MTS spinal complex. Decision-making about indications for operative treatment or refusal of operative treatment. Competence to evaluate radiological findings of a patient with an oncological process in the spine, to classify the spread and degree of the process. Argue the purposefulness of applying different treatment methods, evaluate the results of the treatment and diagnostics performed on the patient.
