About Study Course
Objective
To provide students with the opportunity to acquire knowledge, skills and competence in clinical care in a simulation-based learning environment.
Preliminary Knowledge
Anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology and microbiology.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Students will acquire basic knowledge of patient care and recovery-promoting factors. They will demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the latest medical technologies used in clinical care.
Skills
1.To assess the patient's condition and practically conduct clinical procedures; to prepare and administer the prescribed medication to the patient; to provide intravenous access with a needle and peripheral venous catheter and perform intravenous drug administration using the suitable equipment; to assess and measure the patient's vital signs; to collect blood, urine, stool, sputum, etc. samples accurately for laboratory tests; to perform procedures related to the gastrointestinal tract; to administer procedures related to the urinary tract; to record the appointed and administered procedures.
Competences
1.Ability to apply and evaluate appropriate clinical procedures, medical devices, and other activities to ensure optimal patient care. Ability to analyse situations, substantiate, logically formulate and explain their opinion.

Study of the recommended and optional literature for each particular topic of the class, using the recommended literature, training materials and Internet sources followed by their evaluation and practical application during classes. Stand-alone training on simulators and manikins.
In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal.

|
Systematic testing of theoretical knowledge during classes. At the end of the study course, the OSCE exam at three exam stations. In order to receive a successful assessment, the student must receive a positive assessment at each of the test stations. If any of the test stations is not successfully completed, the student does not continue taking the exam and receives unsuccessful assessment. The total score of the test is formed by recalculating the points obtained by summing the points from each test station. |
