Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Will demonstrate the acquired knowledge: • will be able to explain the diagnostic principles specific to injuries; • will be able to name and describe different types of injuries and polytraumas; • will be able to classify and define the symptoms of orthopaedic diseases; • will be able to name and describe complications and late treatment results.
Skills
1.The medical resident will be able to: • assess injury and orthopaedic patients in the acute stage of treatment, using appropriate assessment methods; • use different concepts and terms in characterising orthopaedic diseases; • identify risk factors for complications and create a prevention plan.
Competences
1.The medical resident will use the acquired knowledge and skills: • to interpret the data obtained in the early assessment of patients; • to evaluate and analyse the injury and disease results corresponding to the age and state of health; • to justify the need for initiating complication prevention measures for injury and orthopaedic patients.

The daily work of a resident doctor with injury and orthopaedic patients in an inpatient setting under the supervision of a specialist physician entitled to teach.

100% attendance of theoretical seminars.
Regular work with patients at the place of implementation of the study course under the guidance of a doctor entitled to teach.
