About Study Course
Objective
Promote the development of the professional competence of students in the organisation and management of swimming teaching and learning, taking into account individual opportunities of learners and compliance with the learning outcomes to be achieved. Enable students to acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in swimming. Understand and use safety regulations at and on water.
Preliminary Knowledge
Foreground: foundations of dynamic anatomy, foundations of swimming biomechanics, foundations of physiology. Ability to swim at beginnings level.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Knows the importance of swimming skills: how life needs skills; possibilities for developing physical characteristics in water, health-enhancing skills.
2.Teaching methods for the mobility of the body in water and swimming techniques, teaching aids.
3.Formative, summatical assessment and self-assessment in the acquisition of swimming exercises.
Skills
1.Ability to control and regulate: breathing while swimming with body balance moving in water in a horizontal position.
2.Demonstrate various forms of facilitated swimming (swimming without lifting hands out of water and swimming patterns (neck on back, neck on chest, brass, butterfly style) and elements of applied swimming (diving, sideswim, water jumps),
3.Practically plan, manage, evaluate the initial phase of swimming teaching class and the order in which swimming types are taught.
Competences
1.Ability to plan, manage and individualize the learning process in a variety of swimming exercises and playthings, according to all degrees of education.
2.Ability to analyse and evaluate pedagogical aids, methods, techniques and swimming aids applied.
3.Ability to develop clear criteria for assessing the growth of learners (Create test swimming exercises in some stages of learning).
4.Ability to identify safety hazards and risks in different environments and situations in swimming, to take preventive safety measures.
