About Study Course

Objective

Provide an opportunity to acquire a thorough theoretical knowledge of the emergencies in otorhinolaryngology, their diagnosis and treatment, as well as provide an opportunity to acquire practical skills so that doctors undergoing this course would be able to provide emergency care in simpler cases in the pre-hospita and in the hospital casualty department without attracting specialist.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Recognize and describe the nose, larynx, ear and throat diseases and injuries and their clinical manifestations, symptoms and syndromes.

Skills

1.Stop nosebleeds. 2. Remove foreign bodies from the nose, throat and ear. 3. Performe an urgent Coniotomy. 4. Assist in Performing a Tracheostomy.

Competences

1.Effectively recognize critical ENT disorders and provide current, evidence-based treatment – in simper cases without attracting specialists in pre-hospital and hospital casualty department stages, in more complex cases providing care till specialist have arrived
