About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the pathology of the lymphatic system, in accordance with the requirements of the regulations of the specialty of vascular surgery, in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of vascular surgeon, in accordance with the regulatory documents of the Republic of Latvia.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.-Extremity artery damage symptoms - serious, possible, -Surgical endovasal, conservative treatment of vascular damage, use of intravascular shunt, -Indications for fasciotomy, amputation, -Tactics at associated damage.

Skills

1.After completing the course you will be able to: -Choose the performance of the anastomosis, assess the need for reconstruction, -Use of anticoagulants, antidotes for blood vessel injury, - Be able to develop a plan for long-term treatment of lymphostasis.

Competences

1.After completing the course you will be able to: -Evaluate tissue damage due to vascular injury, implement detoxification measures, use of ultrafiltration, fasciotomy in cases of "compartment" syndrome.
