About Study Course
Objective
To provide foundations of theoretical knowledge in the field of paediatric laboratory diagnostics.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Explain laboratory diagnostics of intravasal coagulopathies, laboratory diagnostics of acquired and congenital bleeding disorders, thrombophilias. Use tests in clinical praxis, explain pathogenesis of bleeding disorders, assess parameters of coagulation tests, define differencies in tests in case of inborn and aquired bleeding disorders.
Skills
1.Differentiate of white blood cell count, morphology of haemopoietic cells at different ageing stages, compare different methods for different coagulation parameters.
Competences
1.Capable to use theoretical knowledge in the field of paediatric laboratory diagnostics, differentiate bleeding disorders, changes in coagulation parameters, interprete results of laboratory tests.

After each module (rotation cycle) medical resident’s theoretical and practical knowledge is assessed in a 10-point grade system by the medical resident’s supervisor of the rotation cycle by making a respective record in the medical resident’s book.
