About Study Course

Objective

To provide the medical resident with an understanding of perioperative care in plastic surgery and microsurgery, as well as improve their theoretical knowledge and specific skills in the application of anaesthetic methods in plastic surgery and microsurgery.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Medical residents are able to demonstrate specific knowledge and understanding of medical theories on anaesthesia in plastic surgery and microsurgery, which meets the requirements of the specialty of anaesthesiologist, reanimatologist, which provides a basis for creative thinking in clinical practice and partly in research, as well as the ability to work in interdisciplinary interactions.

Skills

1.Medical residents are able to demonstrate successful performance of the manipulations included in the course description in a clinical setting.

Competences

1.Medical residents are able to successfully apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and manipulation skills to successfully provide anaesthesia and perioperative care to patients of plastic surgery and microsurgery.

Examination

-
-
The acquisition of clinical skills is evaluated by the supervisor of practical training, while the supervisor of the specialty programme organises the examination of theoretical knowledge of study courses (in accordance with RSU Academic Regulations II). Theoretical knowledge is assessed using a variety of knowledge assessment methods: multiple-choice tests, essays, descriptions of clinical problem solutions, case presentations, etc. Skills are assessed by observation of performance in the workplace, by observation of demonstrations on a dummy or simulator, and by testing objectively structured clinical skills. Medical residents’ knowledge and skills are assessed with a grade on a 10-point scale.
