About Study Course
Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.On completion of this study course, residents will know the etiology and pathogenesis of spinal vascular pathology, clinical manifestations, radiological diagnosis of spinal vascular pathology (CT, MR, DSA, MRA, CTA). Residents are familiar with the indications and contraindications for endovascular treatment of spinal arteriovenous fistulas and malformations. Technologies used in endovascular treatment of spinal vascular pathology (platinum coils, liquid embolization systems, bioadhesives). Transarterial and transvenous approaches to their treatment. Indications for drug therapy and the most important drugs used. Residents are familiar with the materials and devices required for the treatment of spinal vascular pathology (eg, guiding catheters, microcatheters, microstats, etc.), as well as the possible complications of invasive treatment (dissection, perforation, ischemia) and their treatment.
Skills
1.Perform spinal vascular pathologies – arteriovenous malformation and arteriovenous fistula endovascular treatment.
Competences
1.At the end of the course, the resident will be able to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the diagnosis and treatment of intracranial arteriovenous fistulas, will be aware of possible complications, will be able to diagnose and treat them early.
