About Study Course
Objective
To learn theoretical knowledge and develop practical skills in the management of education to be able to evaluate the role and place of the teacher in the management of an educational institution, in the management of the study process and to get an idea regarding the management of an educational institution.

Understanding of the education system, levels of Latvia.

1.Describe the role of the head of the educational institution, the functions of management, their relationship with each other, their relationship to resources and the effectiveness of the organisation.

1.Able to independently evaluate the activities of an educational institution and develop the ability to make objective, reasoned decisions to promote operations of the organisation.

Evaluation of the operation of the educational institution |

The student chooses one educational institution; analyses the structure, functions and organisation planning of the educational institution according to certain criteria. Assessment criteria: 2 to 4 points – determination of the operational facts of the educational institution has been carried out, no assessment has been carried out. 5 to 6 points – a determination and incomplete assessment of the facts of the activities of the educational institution has been carried out. 7 to 8 points – a determination of the operational facts of the educational institution has been made, a full analysis has been carried out. 9 to 10 points – a determination of the facts of the activities of the educational institution has been carried out, a full analysis has been carried out and proposals for improvement of the activities of the educational institution have been provided. |
