About Study Course

Objective

To provide and enhance the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in pediatric urology, per the pediatric surgical specialty’s requirements to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of pediatric surgery.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.- to define conservative and surgical treatment indications in pediatric urology for children at various ages. - to draft the examination and treatment plan for patients with acute urogenital tract disorders. - To orientate with the diagnostic methods and instruments used in pediatric urology, as well as the surgical treatment options and principles. To learn: • detailed theoretical knowledge of emergency situations in urology for children at various ages. • conservative and surgical treatment indications and their applications of surgical emergencies in patients with urogenital system disorders for children at various ages. • diagnostic methods, instruments and apparatuses, and practical skills for diagnostic and treatment manipulations used in pediatric urology. • to draft an examination and treatment plan for patients with acute and chronic urogenital tract pathologies.

Skills

1.- To determine the indications for surgical treatment of urogenital tract. - To perform urgent therapeutic surgical procedures in urogenital tract disorders for children at various ages. - to designate quality post-surgical treatment for patients after urogenital tract surgeries.

1.- To provide emergency surgical assistance for patients with urogenital tract pathologies for children at various ages.
